A major railway station where Kužiai-Mažeikiai and Mažeikiai-Jelgava lines terminate. The track goes several kilometers further to Bugeniai, where Mažeikiai oil refinery is located, via an old and disused line to Liepāja. Passenger services from Šiauliai and Radviliškis also terminate at this station.

  • Mažeikiai-Renge-Jelgava line is destroyed. Tracks are completely destroyed Mazaikiai-Latvian border (Renge crossing). Latvian side thus lost interest in maintaining it's part of line.
