Ornate gate in front of Nassau Hall at Princeton University which was designed by McKim, Mead & White. Augustus Van Winckle, who died in a skeet shooting accident in 1898, donated the gates in his will in honor of his great grandfather, Nathaniel FitzRandolph, who gave Princeton the first four acres to build Nassau Hall. It is considered bad luck for a student to exit through this gate before graduation.
