City Avenue pedestrian footbridge

Adorned with the words "City Avenue," this pedestrian footbridge spans the width of US 1 (City Avenue, or "City Line Avenue" locally), connecting the northwest and southwest corners of the route's intersection with Presidential Boulevard.

This serves as an unofficial "gateway" to the City Line Avenue area, an upper class region of Fairmount Park where US 1 divides the Philadelphia and Montgomery County lines (hence its name). High-end shopping and dining can be found here, as well as many headquarters of local radio and television stations.
