Berlin Friedrichstraße railway station (Berlin)

Berlin Friedrichstraße is a railway station in the German city Berlin. Regional and S-Bahn trains call at the station. It also has a connection to the Berlin U-Bahn (metro) system and was one of the few interchange points between West Berlin and East Berlin during the times of the Cold War. Several S-Bahn and regional trains stop on the upper platforms of the Berlin Stadtbahn, the U-Bahn station and the North-South S-Bahn lines are situated underground. The station is one of the most important railway interchange stations in central Berlin, still surpassing Berlin Hauptbahnhof.
