Pioneer Square (Seattle, Washington)

'Historic' Neighborhood, where Seattle was founded in 1852, with several brick buildings over a century old.

Pioneer Square is home to art galleries, internet companies, cafés, sports bars, nightclubs, bookstores, and a unit of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park.

Pioneer square is also home to many of the City's homeless. Because of this it is now illegal for local grocery stores and mini-marts to sell fortified wines and similar products within the neighborhood.
