Rose Garden (New York City)

Originally part of the Children's Playground in Olmstead and Vaux's original design for Prospect Park, it has been referred to since just before the turn of the 20th Century as the Rose Garden. In the late 1960's the area was renovated and Fountain Jets were added. On the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Day the pipes broke and the Fountains have never worked since.
