    After finishing my house nearby ten years ago, I wanted to restore/rehabilitate this famous monument of Mandaue that was being used as a toilet bowl! I found out that the group of Carolinians and the Barangay LGU had the same idea. To make this story short the latter got to do it and desecrated the place by applying cement plaster on the original coral walls and etched it with brick finishing. If not for the timely intervention of the National Historical Commission, it would have been a successful completed fiasco!
