  • did my volunteer stint here. wow! what an experience!!! my 6 months was not enough but gotta move on and earn my keep. in benguet gen hosp, i finally realized the hardships any goverment hospitals (and its healthworkers) face. if only the government will increase budget for HEALTH and education.....sana doctors will not become nurses and immigrate. sana the health workers will not become younger and younger. the way i see it, iilan na lang ang mga nurses na 5 years (or more) in the service, most are new in the service. i hope the igorots will LOVE more this hospital because other provinces don't enjoy this kind of privelege. you'll be surprised, i've met patients from baguio, la union, pangasinan, and ilocos AND they do appreciate this hospital more than the locals do. the locals do not know how to use CRs and vandalize hospital properties.
  • I had my post graduate training here for four months.. it was worth it because i learned so much.. i am planning on returning once i got my license back. i re-took the NLE last june that's why i had to stop my volunteer work for several months now. anyway, it is a better hospital to have training because nurses are the main participants in here, no competition with other medical professionals like medicine students and paramedics.. it is more of a hands-on learning. you can hone your skills here even for a few days only.
  • great hospital.
  • The hospital is so big but it is understaffed. The provincial government should address the problem.
  • maganda talaga dito sa ospital na ito. hindi sya ung usual gov't hospital na mabaho. parang airport nga ang loob eh hehehe nice architecture siguro ganun mga hospital sa japan imagine provincial hospital plng un ha. marami ako natututunan kasi talagang hands-on walang intern or clerk na kaagaw sa pag hahands-on. masasanay ang critical thinking, judgment, and assessment skills mo dito. magiging expert ka pa mag insert ng iv line hehehe!
  • i heard that BEGH had been renovated into a huge hospital donated by the Japanese people and with high technology equipments. My comment is, the STAFFs working, I hope they are not mean to their co-workers and patients including patients's families. I worked in this hospital long time ago when is not yet renovated, the nurses were so mean to everybody and thought they have the power and doctors were the big bosses. Please nurses and doctors be professional and be good to your patients and patients' families.
  • Oh!! what a beautiful and gigantic hospital compared to the old Benguet Hospital where you can see the underground morgue with corpse covered with white blanket visible by the people passing by.I was a patient in BEGH who cannot afford to pay for my medication or hospitalization and I was treated very very poorly. Well to do families and with people in politics are treated as a VIP patients when they are admitted a a patient. Because of their popular names or riches, they are treated different. See..how money talks...Please do equalize your treatment either poor or rich, we are still Human Being. They don't pay you as their private employee but government does. So.. Please show your compassion, kindness, patience and dignity to everyone treated in that hospital. It is a big hospital but staffs are sucks.I hope there is an improvement about the attitude of the staffs treating their patients. Some patient cannot able to verbalize how they feel because they are very uncomfortable how nurses and doctors treat them with attitude. Left behind your attitude and show your empathy and a BIG SMILES,this will help in the improvement of patient's condition.Good Luck staff!!!!
  • To elaborate the phrase "oh what a beautiful and giantic hospital since it was renovated compared to the old BeGH.On the main building before it was renovated there was underground passage going to the annex building and beside that underground path ,it was a morgue where they put the dead bodies before families claim the body(ies). The lighting was so dim and dark.It was spooky.People were scared to pass that area cause it was morgue. The bodies were covered with white blankets lied on the ground with no special tables or a clean place to put.I hope that this new hospital that was donated by the Japanese people has a special room or place to put the expired patients. This is to show respect and dignity.
  • This hospital is one of the most beautiful man-made attractions in La Trinidad.
  • yeah nice hospital the facilities was nice btw are the employees nice? uhhhhm yeah i was admitted the volunteer nurses are nice. that's all
  • this is a reaction to the comments posted by "ysabel" 2 mos ago. I want to let her know, before she write such comments she should be certain of the facts. To correct; before the renovation, the morgue was not located under the building walkway, the morgue was located at the side of the building by the old ER department. You also mentioned that "bodies were laid on the floor" which is not the case. Yes the bodies were wrap with blanket because the government did not provide us body bags, they were placed on stretcher before the family gets them. I feel sorry if you felt that way when you got admitted there but I don't think you got admitted to the different units and have been under the care of every nurse in the hospital, for you to generalize the attitudes of staffs and doctors. I use to work with this hospital, I was there when it was still the old building thats why I'm certain about some facts. I was a nurse in one of the units for about 8 years before I got to work here in the US. I am grateful to this institution for all the learning experience I incured during my stay. Hope your next stay in the hospital will please you.... to the staff and doctors regards to all.
