The largest factory in Waterloo Region, has the capacity to produce 300,000 cars per year (on a 2-shift basis) and employs 5,000.

As of 2021, this plant complex produces the Lexus RX350 and RX450h, as well as the Toyota RAV4.

On Aug 27, 2009 Toyota announced it would close the NUMMI assembly plant in California by March 2010. Corolla production from that plant was made up for by increasing production here in Cambridge. Corolla production at this location ended in 2019.

  • To Whom It May Concern, I bought a 2012 Toyota Corolla CE in white with manual transmission a couple of days ago. I bought it at Erin Park Toyota. The salesman told me before that the car might have to be be made at the Cambridge factory and would take 4-5 weeks for delivery. I just got a call from the sales manager at Erin Park, and he said it will take three months to get. What is the correct answer: 4-5 weeks or 3 months. Thank you. Sincerely, William
