Originally the Chicago Daily News Building. Built in 1929 and designed by Holabird & Root. This was the first building erected on air rights above the Union Station train tracks. Real Estate magnate Sam Zell has a large deck surrounded by trees on a setback of one of the lower floors of the building's south end. Directly outside his office, he conducts business there in nice weather. There is an indoor ramp leading to a shopping arcade and enclosed walkway leading to the train station on the south end as well.
