The residence of His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS), the 52nd Dail Mutlaq of the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim Community. The Bungalow was purchased by Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA) from the sons of Adamji Pir bhai. This is the place where Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (RA), the 49th Dai used to stay on his visits to Mumbai. The Ashara Mubaraka waaz of 1427H were held in this building.

He was honoured with civilian titles like the Star of Jordan and Order of the Nile by the respective governments of Jordan and Egypt and was also conferred Honourary Doctorates for his efforts in social and educational development by institutes like Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Aligarh Muslim University and University of Karachi.

Mohammed Burhanuddin died on 17 January 2014 at the age of 98 due to heart attack in Mumbai. Thousands of Dawoodi Bohras from all over India and from some 40 nations had converged to Mumbai to pay their last respects and homage to their leader.

A stampede had occurred on early Saturday morning 18/01/2014, outside the residence. Initial news reports claim at least 18 people had died in the stampede and about 45 injured due to an overwhelming crowd from the Dawoodi Bohra community that had came to pay respect to their leader.

His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) was laid to rest at the Raudat Tahera mausoleum in Mumbai on Saturday 18 January 2014.
