Birmingham Town Hall

One of the oldest building surviving in the city centre. Despite the Roman/ Ancient Greek appearance, the hall was built in the 1800s. The hall was never used for council meetings however was a concert hall. At present, it is undergoing a major refurbishment which was long needed. It was closed in 1996 on safety grounds and is due to re-open later in 2007.
