This is most ignorant and most offensive description of the area.Historically,Gujars also known as Pratiharas in Malwa and Gujarat have been rulers in India right from 5th AD till 12th AD ranging from North to Karnataka in south. Chandela Gujars founded Khajurao. In Delhi,it was Tawar Gujars who were the rulers. The village of Anangpur close to SURAJ KUND is named after the Gujar King Anangpal whose capital it was before shifting to the present day Meharauli.
A large number of places are named after Gujars and their Gotras like Gujarat, Gujranwala, Gujar Khan, Rawalpindi and a very large number of other Tehsils and towns carry Gujar Gotra names now in Pakistan. In India, Gujars have been very prominent. The sons of Gujar Rajas began to call themselves RAJPUTS meaning sons of Rajas which lead to generation of RAJPUTS as a new name.

The names of states like Gujarat and others are named after them . No other places are named after any other rulers of India is a very distinguishing mark of Gujars.

GEORGIA in CIS is known as GURJISTAN in Turkey and GURUZIA in Russia later corrupted to GEORGIA in English.

Please remove this offensive description immediately and correct the name to spell GUJAR, from your records.

Earlier description of the village was derogatory, but the new description is OK

It seems that whole India belogs to Gujjars only which is not very true. Please note that Gujjars, Bari(Rawal, Sisodias, Rathor), Yadav are known as old rajput clans. After the time changes they all lost the frontline and knows as backward everywhere. The people those who served the kings and british they become hero and the people those who never want to serve them placed themselved as backward caste.
