Here on this place was located an old district of residential buildings which legend says were removed prior to the visit of Richard Nixon in 1972.

According to this myth, Brezhnev did not want at the exit from the Kremlin Nixon saw the shabby house, and, conversely, saw the stately home Pashkova on the hill.

It was practically the only residential area on Mokhovaya Street, so it's probably safe to assume that the line "Витька с Моховой" from a famous song about the war "Muscovites" by Mark Bernes that Bernes lived here.

In old photos and on old maps, it is clear that the area was not rounded as it is now, but rather rectangular in shape.
