First Srilankan who got the title M.P.H(Master in Public Health) from Yale University ,New Heven, CT. USA. - 1960.
He was earlier in the Health Dept. as Inspector and later became Professor of Health.
He worked in the World Health Organization(U.N)- U.S.A, India, Pakistan and Nepal.
