John was introduced to Yoko by John Dunbar on the 9th November 1966 at the Indica Gallery at 6 Mason's Yard (Off Duke Street), St James, Westminster (not sure exactly where that is in Mason's Yard--I live in Seattle). Indica was a counterculture art gallery during the late 1960s, in the basement of the Indica Bookshop, co-owned by John Dunbar, Peter Asher and Barry Miles and supported by Paul McCartney. John met Yoko-Ono here.

  • I have a photo taken through a spyglass to a plexibox inscribed with "I AM HERE" or somesuch. The gallery was grand, castle rotund like. And I think it was 1967. I must remind myself to send it to Yoko. I was there all night singing when we lost her beloved. Stop All Wars John@JohnDickinson.info http://JohnDickinson.info
