John McCrae Public School opened in 1969 as a Senior school designed by Raymond Moriyama, It became a full K-8 school in 2013 following the closures of two former feeder schools, McCowan Road (1954-2011) and Pringdale Gardens (1963-2013) with renovations and additions added kindergarten classrooms.
