Estate home built c. 1675 for Thomas Cocks as a family homestead; how much of the original building survives is a point for further research. The estate descended along with 125 acres of farmland to Thomas Cock and his family and was sold by Lena Cock as part of the sale of the Cock's farm to Mrs. Harvey Murdock of Glen Cove in 1901. The original farm property was subdivided with large tracts being sold to Frank Doubleday and Arthur Davis. Mrs. Murdock died in 1925 and the home was purchased by Kenneth Duryee Hull {industrialist} in 1926. Hull was involved in the shipping industry and was assistant treasurer of the American Bureau of Shipping.
The property which became a 7,300ft, 17 room Colonial Revival home on 9 acres which was sold to Lloyd Stryker who later sold to Frank Adair.
