Erosion (Toronto)

Path through beautiful valley eroded by rampant overdevelopment in the Highland Creek watershed. Much of blame should go to UofT Scarborough Campus particularly. Hectares of land paved over for huge student parking lots causing massive runoff (look north from here). This by a university that boasts a sophisticated erosion lab designed to teach students about the folly of paving over soil! It's not just here but all along this Highland Creek river valley that the damage has been done. It's costing millions of dollars of taxpayers' money in ongoing major construction work to shore up the damage done.
