Former residence of Queen Victoria. Designed by Prince Albert and Thomas Cubbitt in the Italianate style. Upon Queen Victoria's death in 1901 Edward VII presented the estate to the Royal Navy as a training facility with the proviso that the royal apartments being kept as a museum and since 1921 it has all been available to view and the gardens to enjoy.
