This is the site of a formerly very well-known Chinese Restaurant during the Raj period where diners were greeted with an orchestra and a band - a high class and reputed restaurant for good Chinese food. The good old days are gone and thereafter, the vicinity was once a den for cheap prostitutes. On the first floor is an ancient Chinese temple.
The building next to it is a famous Chinese cake shop specializing in Chinese wedding cakes and moon cakes. More or less, it used to be one of the sole Chinese cake shops in town for a late while and regretably now, there is none at all in town.
