Sala & Bazin Floreasca (Floreasca Swimming Pool) (Bucharest)

Romania / Bukarest / Bucharest

Floreasca Swimming Pool
Available with a multitude of subscription possibilities (certain number of entrances, monthly, yearly subscription).
Nice place especially in summer days, less crowded later at night. Swimming lessons also available, to all age categories.
The pool uses chlorine treatment for water purification, always a good idea to use swimming goggles though. Recommended you bring you changing clothes in a backpack that you can take with you and leave by the pool. Luggage holding area closes about 1hour earlier than the pool, they always call people to retrieve it before closing.
Don't bring valuable goods with you, anything except your pass, some cash if you want to buy something to drink/eat, your clothes, swimming gear and slippers should be left in the car, or at home. Come as light as you can.
It's not common to have something stolen from your bag, but there's always some chance it might happen. Take the same precautions as when traveling in public transportation.

  • Great place! This swimming pool is usually used for Polo games. It is open for the public, too, in the evenings. The pass costs only 1000 RON a month (about 30 Euros) and you can go 12 times. It may be dangerous for your child, though, because they might get some illness.
  • the swimming pool is ok. There were 2 problems with watter concentration, but they fixed the problem. The pool is 25 meters long, the pass it's not 1000ron, it's 250ron (this is valid on Jul 14, 2009). Sometimes it gets a little to full, but over all it's quite ok.
