  • Went in Dec 2008: Dev (the owner) is one of the most honest, kindest, lovely men we've ever met. He bends over backwards to take care of his guests as do his staff. He's also got some excellent contacts if you want to go to the waterfalls or on other excursions. Overall - highly recommend Castle House, the service, location, people, cleanliness,etc are all vastly disproportionate to the cost - it's worth so much more than you're charged!!! The beach is about a 15 min walk away but it's a really pleasant walk and there's so much to see (and buy) that you barely notice the time. There's also a gorgeous pool at the hotel if you don't feel like braving the sand. The rooms are clean, spacious, Paul couldn't have been happier with the amount of programming on the TV and we both loved the a/c. The new chef in the restaurant/bar is very good - especially with the traditional foods. We had a lot of fun hanging out with Dev and the other hotel guests chatting away well into the night. Thanks for everything Dev, you're an absolute star - we were already planning our next trip back to see you before we even stepped out of your hotel that last morning! I'll never forget my first ride on a scooter!!!!!!!!!

  • ok let me tell u the whole truth about this hotel .its a GREAT little place hidden away behind the main road .at least 10 minutes walk to the beach but well worth it because of its fantastic staff .ricky is really cool ,working and a she seems do all the work and continues to smile and helpful,satayam is another superb asset to this hotel, the rooms are clean ,the food is good ,we had a great 2 weeks and will come back .oh and about the boss man dev he is a good guy who loves himself but deep down some one has to,he is realy nice and added to this trip a lot thank u all for a great holiday -see u soon sunny uk

  • we stayed at the castle house in January 2009 , what a little gem we found. staff very helpful ,clean rooms , food was excellent and a great pool to finish off your day at the beach which ,by the way was only 10/15 minute stroll away.A small bar to have a drink to start off your evening meal and then again a nightcap before you went to bed. Overall a great place to stay,quiet but not to far from the hustle and bustle of the main street in calangute. We are definitely going back to stay at this hotel.

  • We stayed here for two weeks and really loved it. The owner Dev and his staff are really great and helpful. Suren works here 24/7 and is truly the heart of the hotel. Nothing was too much for him, including running to the local shop to get a specific drink that they were out of stock in the bar. The breakfast is included and is much better than most hotels offer. You can have eggs, toast etc. plus Indian breakfast items including parathas and puris which were delicious. Tandoori and Bingo night was fun and all the food is delicious. Rooms are basic, comfortable and very clean. Beds were pleasantly comfortable and pillows really good (I had a back injury last year and was really worried about this, but no problems). In room fridge, AC and ceiling fans, plus a good size balcony. Ask for a lane side room. Samll bar with pool table and a very clean small pool. Highly recommend this hotel and all the staff. Thanks Dev for a great stay.

  • Hello People,Here are a few reasons why you should stay at Castle House. Its a beautiful "Gem" hidden in Calangute, well if you spend time looking for it, its well worth all your time. The Owner Dev and his Staff are Excellent Hosts and thier Hospitality and Care for every client is what takes people back here for multiple visits. Dev and his crew would go out of the way to make sure all his clients are happy and all thier needs and requirements are met, Food is brilliant :) The Hotel has a Swimming pool, Bar and a Restaurant and is a brilliant place to hang around if you are tired of going up and down to the Beach.They have events,peaceful evening parties and karoeke that they organise for thier guests aswell and the best part is the pool table, thats where i spent most of my time when i got back to the Hotel, Lol. Over all it was a divine expirience for me and would highly reccommend this Hotel to anyone who is looking for a Home away fom home :) P.S they have a pet cat called Snowy who is just as friendly as everything around.
