West Hempstead Volunteer Fire Department


Organized in 1919 W.H.F.D. provides fire protection and Emergency Ambulance coverage to the West Hempstead Fire District. It Operates one ladder truck (765), three engines (761, 763, and 767), one heavy rescue truck (762), and two ambulances (7681, 7682). it is also the home of the Westerners, a competative racing team which competes with a class B, and Class C motorized trucks.
