The Monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a statue of Jesus Christ with open arms situated at the peak of Monte Naranco. It was constructed from popular charity during the decade of the 60s. From here there is a lovely view of the valley where Oviedo sits, and on clear days the Cantabrian Sea (Bay of Biscay) can be seen.
