Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is a city in southwestern Quebec, in the Regional County Municipality of Beauharnois-Salaberry.[1] This city is situated on an island in the St. Lawrence River. It is bordered at its western end by Lac Saint-François, with the St. Lawrence to the north and the Beauharnois Canal to its south. The Port of Valleyfield is situated on the canal.
The city has been the site of "Les Regates de Valleyfield" an international hydroplane race since 1938.
