  it's very beautifull area it is in AL Dhakilia region you can not go there by your small car, you need 4weels(land crousr,ring rover...) near to AL Jabal AlAkhdar there is Jabal shams, the highest mountain in oman(3000 m above sea level, if i'm ont wrong)& as I heard, there is a small village there & they can see the sun at 12 or 2 pm In Al Jabal Al Akhdar many gardens that is rich of it's fuits & vegetables limon, and it is famouse of pomegranate .....ext Life there is very simple, small houses & simple houses in the mountains also there is a hotel, motels and other services there In fact I did not go there but I watch many documentary films & what we learned about Oman

  *No camping allowed* who said that. you can do camping in aljabal i am from aljabal and i am confirm that is allowed. wish you avery good camping and hiking in jabal
