Ish-Blloku is an upmarket neighborhood of Tirana, Albania. It is noted for its painted facades and shopping areas, trendy bars, swanky restaurants and cafes. A number of factories were once operating in this block while during communism it became a secluded residential area of the Albanian politburo members. Since the fall of communism a dramatic growth of new development has taken over. Ish-Blloku is often considered the "playground of the young Albanian elite".
