Fountain City Lake (Duck Pond)

The pond was built in 1893 in the then-independant community of Fountain City. The community eventually merged with the city of Knoxville. Most Fountain City residents shun the use of the term "duck pond"--it's properly referred to as Fountain City Lake (which is also displayed on an adjacent sign). More information can be found at:
