  • San Antonio Hobby Shop advertised itself as the nation's largest, and I believe it! It was the size of a supermarket. The owner eventually decided to retire, and refused to sell the store to the employees, so it was sold off in bits and pieces. I made several trips there, in the early 90s, whenever I would get out to the West Coast.
