Kamaraj Nagar is primarily a residential neighbourhood comprising of mainly posh dwellings in the city of Vellore, India. It is one of the fastest developing parts of the city. In addition to being a popular residential area, Kamaraj Nagar has become a busy commercial and educational center of Thorapadi.
Kamaraj Nagar is a relatively newly developed part of the city. It lies on the banks of the river Kanar. The real estate market in Kamaraj Nagar has been sky-rocketing with an increase in land value doubling every half-year in the middle of the 1990 decade.
The area also boasts a wide variety of eat-outs.
Sports: Cricket is the heartbeat of every youngster of Kamaraj Nagar. Kamaraj Nagar Cricket Club (popularly known as KNCC) was on its peak during 1990's, considered to be the best in Vellore District.
More recently, Kamaraj Nagar has become the stategic entrance to Sripuram, which houses the famous Srilaksmi Golden Temple and Thirumalaikodi Hills.
