Põllküla burial area
In this place people who died in the refugeecamp in Klooga were buried. Through the camp 63000 Finns from Ingria were evacuated by boat from Paldiski to Hanko in Finland. After the separate peace treaty in the fall of 1944 between Finland and the Soviet Union 55000 of them more or less voluntarily returned to the Soviet union. Of them remaining in Finland approximately 4500 fled to Sweden. A monument is erected on the burial area.
