  • In the sixties, this place was called: The Cape Club. Can someone confirm this old memory of mine?
  • It's actually built onto the side of the Cape Club. The Cape Club still has its sign but I haven't seen it open on any of my visits to Alex's. Looks as if it could be abandoned.

  • Alex's is next door to the Cape Club.....2 brothers owned them, Alex and Oleg. Alex's wife runs Alex's and Oleg the Cape Club. He died several months ago. Cape Club is a more authentic SL experience.

  • Oleg died in 2007 after a heart attack.When I was last there in Nov 2007 The Cape Club was closed and a dispute was underway over inheritance. Freetown was just the same as before but quieter after the departure of UNAMSIL.
