The East Avenue Medical Center was organized by virtue of EO #48s. 1986 of President Corazon C. Aquino. It was formerly named the Hospital ng Bagong Lipunan which was established on January 8, 1978 by virtue of Presidential decree# 1411 after the dissolution of the old GSIS General Hospital which was transferred all its assets, liabilities and properties to the Ministry of health.
It is a 600-bed, tertiary, general hospital.

  • Last Dec.8,2010, one of the buildings here caught on fire due to overloaded electrical wiring circuit based on investigation by Fire Officials.
  • • Staff were rude, arrogant or lazy or had a negative attitude. • A lack of care and compassion, such as staff not doing enough to ensure the patient was comfortable. • Staff not keeping patients well informed. • Inadequate response to requests or complaints. • Long waits before or between appointments, including delays in being moved between different departments.
  • That's Sucks!My sister had some kind of cyst in her uterus and she needed to go to that hospital for another test and might have her surgery done there as well if she has to.Is this a private hospital?
