Spicer's Gap

Historical Spicer's Gap. Up until C1920, the way over the Great Dividing Range on the Ipswich/Warwick road was via Spicer's Gap. This has since been superseded by the road over Cunningham's Gap [Cunningham Highway]. However, the main Telcom coaxial cable still follows along this route as the original Telecom lines followed here. The road has since been closed at Governor's Chair to preserve the original paved road - A perfect example of late 19th Century engineering.
