This fell subject to the urban planner sof the 1960s who demolished the existing road and turned this into an underpass. Now, the area around it is become redeveloped with the construction of the Holloway Circus Tower also known as Beetham Tower and the renovation of the Sentinels. There are rumours of another skyscraper to be constructed at the underpass which would make this one of the most dense areas of highrise buildings in the city centre.
