Daejeon World Cup Stadium, nicknamed "Purple Arena", is a football stadium in the South Korean city of Daejeon. It was used to host some matches of the 2002 World Cup (South Africa vs Spain, Poland vs USA and South Korea vs Italy) .
After the World Cup it became the stadium of Daejeon Citizen with a capacity of 41,295 seats. It replaced Daejeon Sports Complex.
