Underneath the arches...you'll find Newcastle's most retro of bars. Chase is right by the Tyne Bridge and offers a garden that extends back under one of the arches. Aping the seventies, this bar is for lounging and proves very popular among the more sophisticated of nighthawks prior to later excesses of the night. The interior is all very curvy with blue leather window seats while the bar takes centre-stage. You'll quickly notice other somewhat odd additions to the decor, like the fish tanks on the way to the loos! It's bright, colourful and the vibes were pretty good too - or was that the cocktails, or both!
