This is a small village town, perhaps of less than a thousand population made up mainly of Chinese, Ibans and Malays. It is an important trading centre for the Ibans living in the surrounding rivers around this town. The Iban are natives of the state of Sarawak who makes up of about one third of the population, that is approximately seven hundred thousand people. They are tradional farmers and the majority are living in a state of poverty. Their villages which actually are longhouses are scattered into the interior reaches of the district of Song. Basic infrastructures like roads, electricty, clean well-treated water supply and telephone lines are nearly non-existent. Their educational level are still very low except for the present young generation. Their parents however are mostly illiterate. The government of Malaysia, particularly the state administration of Sarawak can do much to raise the living standard of these people. Sadly such developments are very slow and the Ibans are perhaps condemned to live a lifestyle very remote from what we know of modern life today. We can only pray for them that they may be brought up to see the real twentyfirst century reality.

'WIRA PLKN' you said they are wealthy ! This is a BIG LIE, you can judge by their clothing which is many years back without a change of new cloth, and their house is not even fully furnish, WHAT kind of WEALTH you are TALKING ABOUT? Just based on 1 PSP you said they are RICH, this is overly EXPRESSION ! And then their road is not even HIGHWAY, their village is much much more UNDER DEVELOP, you are TALKING SHIT.
