Site of Very Energetic Radiation Imaging Telescope Array System (VERITAS) - Kitt Peak


VERITAS is an array of four radio telescopes for performing gamma ray observations. The array is currently being staged at the Whipple Observatory administrative offices near Amado, AZ. Construction at Kitt Peak was halted in 2005 due to a lawsuit brought by the Tohono O'odham Nation.
