If you are a tourist and have a problem they should be able to help, however no all theer staff speak English.

To get best service remember that you are in Thailand not your own country. Politeness is paramount. No matter what your problem do not shout or sware, try and explain the problem with out getting upset. Be respectful to the police and it will pay great dividends. I suggest that you wai to the policeman before you start, it will get you off to a good start.
