The coastal city of Batroun (Arabic: البترون) located in northern Lebanon is one of the oldest cities of the world. The name Batroun derives from the Greek, Botrys (also spelled Bothrys), which was later Latinized to Botrus. Batroun is home to a Lebanese Red Cross First Aid Center.
