Thomas Halverson shot a Robin here with his BB gun. The Robin wasn't dead, however, which presented young Halverson with a moral dilemma. Thomas Halverson decided to put the bird out of it's misery by shooting it in the head. Unfortunately, Tom was holding the bird in his hand at the time of discharge and shot himself in the hand (the left index finger to be exact.)
