Lake Zdohnya (Yekaterinburg)

Russia / Sverdlovsk / Shirokaya Rechka / Yekaterinburg

It is a dying lake in the last stage of its evolution in nature. The lake quickly and inevitably turns into a swamp. Almost all of its shores are swampy, and bog vegetation grows rapidly around. There are thickets of dwarf birches. There are very few approaches to the lake. The water of the lake contains abundant iron and manganese. Due to the influence of western filtering stations and sedimentation tanks, the waters of Zdochnia become even more unsuitable for aquatic fauna and flora.
