park, NRHP - National Register of Historic Places, interesting place
This small wooded area was where local slaves would gather on Sundays to set up market, and to congregate, to play music and to entertain one another. Tourists to the city would often gather around to watch the celebrations and on very rare occasions join in. The square is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
