Former lands of the native Dumagats, historical site of the Battle of Ipo Dam. Near the end of World War 2, during the retreat of the Japanese Occupational forces from the Philippines, they intended to destroy this dam by explosives to disrupt Manila's water supply. A race between American Forces and a Filipino Guerilla Unit ensued to diffuse the explosives and thus save the dam. Success went to the locals known as Marking's Fil-American Guerillas led by Marcos V. Agustin aka Agustin Marking. - ICeBergMan1969
