This used to be a nice stadium in downtown Belgrade where we gathered to play basketball, and where our parents before us gathered for skating in winter. But over the past couple of decades it has falen into decay and the state it is in today trouly is a shame of Belgrade. It is still used for concerts, from time to time.

Stadium Tasmajdan, Belgrade city center Built in 1950's in one of most mysterious locations in Belgrade. Just under the "Tasmajdan Rock" huge and unique boulder of Miocene limestone. On and near which paleontological and archaeological research found huge amount of fossils and prehistoric and historic human artifacts.
Its complex of caves and ancient Stone mine (its name Tas-majdan comes from Ottoman word for Stone Mine) where exploited for the last few millennium.
Stadium it self was once home of Davis cup, Spanish corida, Car-football. During winter it used to be ice skate arena, while during warmer months it changed to sport and music venue.
Work on reconstruction had just begun, we can expect it to be fineshed by end of 2012.
