What a coincidence! Udaipur in South Rajasthan is also known as Lake City. It was also capital of erstwhile Mewar State, the city was founded by Maharana Udai Singh. Prior to Udaipur Chittaurgarh, 117 Kms north of Udaipur was capital of Mewar.
