Pada bulan Maulid seperti ini tempat ini biasanya ramai seperti "Pasar Malam" Anda yang kebetulan orang luar kota bisa menikmati makanan khas Daerah Sidoarjo dan sekitarnya seperti : tahu petis, tahu tek, tahu campur, rujak cingur,kikil, kupang lontong, dll.
Rasanya khas Sidoarjo. Saya sekarang bermukim di Jakarta tidak selalu hadir pada acara "Mauludan" Sidoarjo, tapi berani memastikan suasana tidak banyak berubah dibanding ketika saya masih tinggal di Sidoarjo tahun 1980 an

  • Where do you think the concept of this city (and many others in east java has the same concept)come from? The tower (tugu) in the center part , Masjid at the west side, goverment office at the south side, governor residence at the north side, and market place (if i'm correct)at the east side; those elements may have a symbolic meaning. but, for what extend does those meaning would refer to? Political, religion, cultural, or what? would you help us?
