St James School as it is today. It was established in the early 1950s by the Catholic missionaries and renamed SRK ST James' Tenghilan when its administration was handed to the Malaysian Government.

  • Started by the Catholic Missionaries in the late 1940s and named St James' Primary School. The first building was made from wood, bamboo and zinc and doubled as a church on Sundays. It was administered by St John's School, Tuaran. First headmaster was Michael Joummy (now dead). It was upgraded into a secondary school in 1970. One building was destroyed by fire in late 1970's. It was rebuilt. Now it is a full-fledge secondary school. It has produced many successful students including Tamparuli MP Wilfred Bumburing.

  • halo st james,but bye2 mr.white man,heheheeh....as a representative of 5 bestari 2007 former student,i would like 2 give thanks....a lots of thanks 2 our beloved teacher,Mdm.Christina,Ms.Grace,Mdm.Sabarina,Mdm.Joesey,T.Noumi,Mdm.Rustina,Mdm.Mariam, Mdm.Saniah,Mdm.Angelina,Mr.Jobinal,Mr.Joibol,Mr.Sugang,Mr.Kalsutiro,Mr.Hamdan,and whew....did i miss mention any teachers name?Ow well at least i still remember all of my classmates's closest teacher(friend)......we really missssss St.James so much.........
  • Anyway before you all goes wrong.. Actually this school is SM ST James, Sekolah Menengah St James. The next of this school is SRK St James, So do not mixed it out, me also ex.. student of SRK & SM st james. I start study at SRK St James on Early 1986, but not permanently because only three special student are joint the class during that time..is was me, Stanly Simon and Nelson. But when my age at 7, sad to say that only 4 person study at the class but thanks to my teachers during that time.. they are never give up to teach us even the number of student are not that much. Thank you Very Much....
  • see how it was going...i didn't actually make any mistake,i was a student in both sm & srk st.james school.....well let me see,em i was born in 1990s and start educate in 1997 and i still remember when srk st james's year 1/2,im x sure about it....we was sitting in a class made of a zink.....my senior was really a lot of help.....both of those school puts a lot of memory especially in my year of teenager......
  • hello st. james... sekolah yg tidak mungkin saya lupakan sampai akhir hayat saya... segala-galanya bermula di sini...sebuah sekolah yang amat bererti buat saya dan saya berani cakap... tiada sekolah yang sehebat st. james...sampai kapanpun... saya amat bangga dengan sekolah walau kini saya bukan lagi di sini...semoga sekolah ini akan terus berjaya melahirkan anak murid yang cemerlang seperti anak saya...terima kasih st. james...
